Spring is in the air, I can feel it! Daylight Savings Time always brings about certain feelings, exhaustion being one of them, haha! But seriously, the day feels longer, because it’s lighter out at night, and Spring is just right around the corner. I love smoothies for breakfast all year long, but especially in the warmer weather. A smoothie is great way to start your day. You’ll feel healthy, and I’ve found that starting the day with a smoothie leads me to healthier choices all day long. I’ve been following a low carb diet for almost two months, and one of the keys to success on this diet is staying full with lots of protein. So, without further ado, here is my latest smoothie creation – a protein-packed smoothie to start your day!
2 Tbsp PB2 (If you don’t have PB2, you can substitute regular peanut butter)
1 Scoop Protein Powder (Use your favorite flavor, I chose chocolate this time)
2 Tbsp Flax Seed
1 Small Avocado
1-2 Cups Almond Milk
Directions – Blend and Enjoy!
24 g Protein
9.2 g Net Carbs
