Happy Fun Tip Friday! Today’s tip is a bit more serious than some of my others. Hope you enjoy it!
I think one of the hardest things for people to face in life is change, especially detail-oriented people like myself. I have to prepare for change. When something hits me suddenly, it often rocks me off course. I’m not always good at change.
I got to thinking about change because of this blog. My blog is constantly changing. Behind the scenes, I have been busy learning about blogging through webinars and courses/challenges provided by expert bloggers. In the second month of this blog, I’ve already made tweaks that hopefully will improve my blog.
The biggest realization I’ve had is that I had an original vision for my blog, and while much of my vision is still the same, it’s also changing along the way. I now realize that is exactly what needs to happen in order to find success. I was feeling stubborn (as I often do with change) about changing things on my blog. I wanted things to stay the same, but that can’t happen with a blog or any business, or any person, or anything that is meant to grow. Because growth is change.
It also reminded me of the quote, “The only thing that is constant is change,” which led me to these other great quotes about change.
My point is that change will happen, it’s already happening. Even for detail-oriented people like myself, who would rather have a Plan B, C, D…Z in place at all times, it’s a good reminder that things will change. It’s how we handle ourselves amongst that change that matters.
My tip today on this Fun Tip Friday – See, I’ve CHANGED from Fun Detail Friday to Fun Tip Friday? Did anyone notice this little detail? – If you did, comment below. I’m a firm believer that things happen for a reason. I think my blog is evolving and changing for the better!
Ok, back to my tip – My tip is to notice the little things that happen when change occurs. Did you have a big outdoor party planned but rain changed your plan? Just think, memories were made because of that rain. Did your daily routine change for some unforeseen reason (this one is hard for me to embrace without stress)? Maybe you had some extra laughs with the kids, even though their naptime was pushed back too late. These little things often go unnoticed when a change happens, because of the stress that comes along with change.
So this tip is just as much for myself as it is for all of you. It’s an area I hope to improve on, what about you? I’d love to hear your stories of a time when something changed (big or little), yet something positive happened despite the stress. Comment below!
