This has become my favorite post to write each week! I love taking time to stop and think about the things I’ve loved during the week. I don’t want it to come across as materialistic, even though I am talking about “things.” It’s more about looking back and remembering the week. If you’ve missed the other weeks, don’t forget to browse around and find my other Five Things Fridays.
I forgot how much I loved this movie! My oldest daughter has been asking to see this movie for over a year, but I was hesitant due to some of the scenes. I finally thought she was old enough, and my aunt got the movie for my daughter for Easter. We’ve watched it a few times already, and I’m hooked again! This is a Disney classic!
2 – Easter Hats
I am absolutely in love with these adorable straw hats from The Children’s Place. My oldest has the straw-colored version, and my youngest has this white version. So cute!! I can’t wait to see them wear these cute hats all summer long! Now, if only I could get my youngest to actually keep hers on.
3 – Prosecco
This week, my husband and I celebrated our 15 year date-a-versary (15 years since our first date)! I think this is such an important event to celebrate, because it’s the truest beginning of a relationship. I do love celebrating our wedding anniversary too, but the date-a-versary is my favorite! We went out to dinner, and then after we got the kids to bed, enjoyed a movie night at home. I sipped on some of this delicious prosecco…it was the perfect night!
4 – My Library Card
There’s no link to this one, nothing to buy or sell here, but I encourage you, if you don’t have one already, to get a library card. Take yourself to the library, and most importantly, take your kids. Your local library holds so many doors to adventure, mystery, and I cannot preach enough about the importance of early literacy. Obviously, I’m a school teacher, so reading is important to me, and I carry my love of reading into my home with my own children. We visit the library once a week, and these trips have become so exciting and special. The best part about it – it’s free!
We have been without a dustbuster for almost four years now, and it was finally time for us to get a new one. I just opened it yesterday, and I can’t wait to use it! This Black & Decker Cordless Dustbuster got great reviews, and the description claims it can hold a charge for a really long time.
There you have it! Happy Friday everyone! Be sure to tell me something you’re loving this week in the comments below.
